First Generation (1989-1997)

The second generation of the MX-5 introduced a number of significant changes, including a new design and a revised suspension setup. In 2009, a more powerful version of this engine was introduced that was capable of producing 167 horsepower. This engine was paired with a six-speed manual transmission and was able to achieve a 0-60 mph time of around five and a half seconds.
Fourth Generation (2016-Present)
