A soffit is a horizontal ceiling or underside of an architectural structure, such as a balcony, arch, or overhang. Soffits are used to provide a finished, aesthetically pleasing look to the underside of a structure, and can also be used to hide wiring, plumbing, or other mechanical systems. Installing soffits in a garage typically involves cutting and fitting the soffit panels to the desired size and attaching them to the underside of the ceiling or other structure with screws or nails. It may also be necessary to install ventilation grilles in the soffit panels to allow for proper air circulation.
